Judge tosses evidence in murder case, citing 'culture of discovery abuses.'
Peters & Peters was in the news when Judge Roger Prokes excluded all evidence in the first degree murder trial of State v. Richard Buchli. Widely covered by the media, the ruling prompted a front page article in Missouri Lawyers Weekly: "But in a series of twists perhaps only a lawyer could fully appreciate, Buchli's case was caught up in what a judge has called a "culture of discovery abuses in Jackson County."
No charges filed in shooting death.
